Name Of Post: GROUND TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (GTI)

                         INDIAN AIR FORCE (POLICE) [IAF(P)]

Job Specification:

(a) Automobile Technician. As an Automobile Technician you will drive all types of light, medium and heavy automobiles, load carriers and specialist vehicles like cranes, towing tractors, fork lifters etc., subject to service exigencies. You will also carry out minor repairs, day to day maintenance and basic level servicing of the common user vehicles and specialist vehicles in the Indian Air Force inventory.

(b) Ground Training Instructor. As a Ground Training Instructor, you will train personnel on drill, parade, handling of arms and physical exercise. You are also responsible for organizing and conducting all games and sports activities.

(c) Indian Air Force (Police). As an Indian Air Force (Police) your responsibilities involve assuming police duties and investigation of offences. You are also in-charge of maintenance of security.

District to be Covered: Akola, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Dhule, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Hingoli, Jalgaon, Jalna, Latur, Nagpur, Nanded, Nandurbar, Osmanabad, Palghar, Parbhani, Raigarh, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Wardha, Washim & Yeotmal districts of state of Maharashtra

Education Qualification: Candidate should have passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central/ State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Note - 1: Boards recognized/affiliated by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) will only be permitted.

Note - 2: Exact aggregate % of marks before decimal as written in the marks sheet of 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent OR calculated as per the rules of

concerned Education Board will only be considered (For example 49.99% should be taken as 49% and not to be rounded off to 50%).

Age Limit: Candidates born between 13 January 1998 and 27 June 2001 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally.

Tenure & Trainin:. Enrolment is for an initial period of 20 years extendable up to the age of 57 years (subject to service conditions). Initially candidates will be sent for a Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) at Basic Training Institute, Belagavi (Karnataka). On successful completion of JBPT, candidates will be sent for trade training of specified duration. Training is however liable to be terminated at any time if the trainee fails to achieve the required standards in academics, profession, physical fitness and discipline or is found to be medically unfit. AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF TRAINING, THE AIRMEN WILL BE DEPLOYED ON GROUND BASED JOBS AS PER THEIR ALLOTTED TRADE.

Pay & Allowances: During training, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Military Service Pay (MSP) will be Rs. 26,900/- per month plus Dearness allowance (as applicable) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.
